Chunwon
The Chunwon ("Origin of Heaven") is the Korean equivalent of Japan's Tengen title, taking its name from the center point of the Go board. Established in the 1980s, it features a knockout qualifier followed by a best-of-three title match. Lee Changho dominated the title during his peak years in the 1990s and 2000s. Like its Japanese counterpart, the Chunwon's poetic name and symbolic significance of the tengen point give it a special resonance in Go culture.
