CCTV Cup
Founded in 1987, the CCTV Cup is the longest-running fast Go tournament in China, designed for television broadcast with 30 seconds per move time controls. The 64-player single-elimination tournament produces dramatic games ideal for TV audiences. The winner and runner-up earned berths in the Asian TV Cup alongside champions of Japan's NHK Cup and Korea's KBS Cup. The tournament was renamed the China Citic Bank Cup in 2012 following a sponsor change, though it remains widely known by its original name.
