P'aewang
The P'aewang (패왕전, "Champion King") was a Korean professional Go title denoting supreme competitive dominance. Contested through a league-and-challenge format, it was among the titles that defined the Korean Go calendar during the sport's boom years in the 1990s and 2000s. Champions of the P'aewang earned recognition as one of Korea's most formidable competitive players, and the title's lineage includes many of the era's legendary figures.
