The Chinese Promotion Tournament was the professional ranking promotion event in Chinese Go, used by the Chinese Weiqi Association to determine rank upgrades for professional players. Active through the late 1990s and early 2000s, it served a similar function to Japan's historical Oteai system, with results directly affecting players' professional dan rankings.
