The Paedal Wang (배달왕, from "Baedal," an ancient name for Korea) was a Korean professional Go title that drew on national mythology for its name. The title evoked Korea's deep historical and cultural roots, connecting the modern game to Korean heritage. Contested through a challenger tournament leading to a championship match, it was part of the rich tapestry of Korean Go titles that flourished during the sport's commercial golden age.
