The Sipdan ("Tenth Dan") is the Korean equivalent of Japan's Judan title, symbolically placing the champion beyond the highest official 9-dan rank. The tournament features a knockout qualifier followed by a best-of-five title match between the challenger and the defending champion. Like its Japanese counterpart, winning the title carries immense prestige as it suggests mastery beyond even the highest professional rank.
