The Qisheng ("Chess Saint" or "Go Saint") is one of China's traditional major individual titles, the Chinese equivalent of Japan's Kisei. The format features a knockout qualifier followed by a best-of-seven title match, the longest match format in Chinese Go. The prestigious title carries deep cultural significance, echoing the ancient Chinese tradition of revering Go masters as sages or saints of the game.
