Super Meijin
The Super Meijin was an exhibition event organized by the Nihon Ki-in featuring former holders of the prestigious Meijin (Master) title — one of Japan's original seven major crowns. The Meijin lineage traces back to Honinbo Sansa in 1612, and the modern title system (established 1962) has crowned legends like Sakata Eio, Cho Chikun, and Iyama Yuta. This exhibition celebrated that legacy by reuniting past champions.
