The Maxim Coffee Cup, sponsored by Dong Suh Foods, is a distinctive Korean Go tournament founded in 2000 that is exclusively restricted to 9-dan players, the highest professional rank. This elite restriction makes it unique among major tournaments and ensures top-level play in every game. The format uses rapid time controls of just 10 minutes per player with overtime periods, with the top four players advancing to a round-robin mini-league and the top two meeting in a best-of-three final. Park Jeonghwan has been the most successful player with four titles, while Shin Jinseo won consecutive cups in 2023 and 2024.
