Mungyeong Saejae Cup

Named after Mungyeong Saejae (문경새재, "Bird Pass of Mungyeong"), the historic mountain pass through the Sobaek range that once served as the main royal road between Seoul and Busan — scholars travelling to the civil service exams were said to favor this route for luck. The tournament uses a fast blitz knockout format. With 18+ editions, it is one of Korea's more enduring quick-play events.
