The children arrive with real credentials — Kim Junghyun came in as the 2025 World Youth U-12 champion, Lee Jiyu from a family of strong amateurs — and on the opening day of the 2026 edition both of them beat their 9-dan opponents by a point and a half. Games are fast, 10 minutes plus 30 seconds Fischer, and the point is the handshake afterwards as much as the result.
