The Sun-Moon-Star Cup (日月星杯) was an international team Go match between China and South Korea, named with celestial imagery befitting the clash of the game's two most powerful nations. The bilateral team format produced some of the most intense national rivalries in Go history, with each side fielding its strongest players in win-and-continue or simultaneous team formats.
