INAF Cup

A friendly exchange between young professionals of Japan and North America, held under the Iwamoto North America Foundation (INAF) — the joint venture of the Nihon Ki-in and the American Go Association founded to carry Go across the Pacific. The foundation bears the name of Iwamoto Kaoru, the Honinbo title-holder who devoted his later years and personal fortune to planting the game in the West; in that spirit the cup brings Nihon Ki-in newcomers together with the rising NAGF-certified professionals of the United States and Canada for games on the Ki-in's "Yugen no Ma" server.
