At 1.8 million RMB for the champion it is among the richest titles in Go, and it has been decided by the two players who have defined the era: Gu Zihao took the first over Shin Jinseo in 2023, Shin returned the result in 2024, and Dang Yifei beat him 2-1 in 2025. Qualifying is genuinely open -- an integrated preliminary that fields women's and seniors' sections alongside the main draw -- and Korean coverage files it under the older name Nanga Cup.
